We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Research and Development (R&D) Specialist to lead our research and development activities and oversee the implementation of software quality assurance standards. The ideal candidate will drive innovation, enhance product development, and ensure that our software products meet the highest quality standards. This role requires a strong technical background, leadership skills, and a strategic mindset.

Key Responsibilities:

·       Lead and manage R&D projects from conceptualization through to implementation, ensuring alignment with company objectives.

·       Drive innovation by researching and evaluating emerging technologies, tools, and methodologies that can enhance product development and quality.

·       Develop and oversee the implementation of software quality assurance standards, ensuring that all products meet established quality criteria.

·       Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including development, quality assurance, and product management, to ensure the successful execution of R&D initiatives.

·       Identify and mitigate risks associated with R&D activities and ensure timely project delivery.

·       Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

·       Monitor and report on the progress of R&D projects, including key milestones, deliverables, and performance metrics.

·       Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements related to software development and quality assurance.

·       Lead efforts to obtain relevant certifications and compliance with industry standards.

·       Prepare and present detailed technical reports, research papers, and project documentation to stakeholders.

Qualifications:

·       Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

·       Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in research and development, software development, or software quality assurance.

·       Proven experience leading R&D projects and implementing software quality assurance standards.

·       Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and quality assurance methodologies.

·       Expertise in modern programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, C++) and development frameworks.

·       Experience with R&D tools and technologies, such as simulation software, prototyping tools, and version control systems.

·       Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and strategically.

·       Strong leadership and project management skills, with a track record of successful project delivery.

·       Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Preferred Skills:

·       Ph.D. in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

·       Experience in Agile/Scrum development environments.

·       Familiarity with regulatory standards and certifications related to software development.

·       Knowledge of machine learning, AI, or data science as applied to R&D.

·       Publication of research papers or patents in relevant fields.
