Job Overview:
Determine IT Plans for CLIENT , set and monitor departmental goals, establish team workflows, choose technology investments and work with the vendors to facilitate IT workflow across all companies under CLIENT .
Duties and Responsibilities:
i. Developing, executing, and owning the organization’s ICT strategy.
ii. Architecting and maintaining digital systems, with a focus on optimization and rationalization of ERP Next infrastructure.
iii. Working closely with departmental leads to identify efficiency improvement opportunities via the deployment of cost-effective digital solutions.
iv. Continually reviewing, auditing, and improving the organization’s ICT infrastructure.
v. Owning all ICT tender processes, culminating in the selection of high quality and cost-effective digital solutions and in implementing these with minimal business disruption.
vi. Designing and implementing a robust cybersecurity strategy for Kamal and by extension its members (as a service).
vii. Support the procurement process for all ICT hardware and software by providing the basic information.
viii. Delivering a first-class service and high-quality support to all users internally and within CLIENT of companies.
ix. Effective management of all ICT service providers and ensure high-quality service delivery in accordance with all service agreements.
x. Owning & driving all ICT projects from initial concept stage through to successful implementation.
xi. Ensuring full compliance with all ICT related regulations and implement industry best practice.
xii. Identify potential risks and develop mitigation plans to minimize the impact
on IT projects and operations. Implement appropriate security measures to protect data and system
xiii. Develop and manage the IT projects’ budget for the management.
xiv. Monitor expenses, optimize resource allocation, and ensure cost-effective IT operations.
EXPERIENCE:
i. Minimum of 8-10 years’ experience managing ICT operations.
ii. 5 years of Experience in managing and leading an ICT function.
iii. Proven experience with manufacturing company.
iv. Demonstrable track-record of successfully delivering ICT solutions in a fast-growing organization.
v. Multiple successful experiences of leading vendor selection and service delivery management.
EDUCATION AND SKILLS
v Bachelor’s degree in ICT, Computer Science, or related field (Masters’ degree is advantageous).
v Relevant professional certifications in ICT management.
v Language skills: Fluent in both English and Swahili (additional languages are advantageous).
v Knowledge of emerging technologies and trends in cloud computing, cybersecurity, data analytics, and enterprise systems.
v Strong understanding of IT project management methodologies, software development life cycle (SDLC), and IT infrastructure management.
