Due to expansion, we have an immediate need to hire an experienced DevOps Engineers to join our innovative project team, based in Serbia, Croatia, North Macedonia or Bosnia & Herzegovina.
This is a great opportunity for a driven DevOps Engineer to drive and support Machine Learning Development across a global business.
Main responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) using Google Cloud console and/or gcloud command line (compute engine instances, cloud buckets, secrets manager, pub/sub, cloud functions, firewall, load balancer)
- Setup application release and deployment using scripts, or continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipeline style tools (e.g. Jenkins)
- Set up monitoring (DataDog/PagerDuty) of application and system performance and troubleshoot issues and make suggestions for how to improve application performance
- Ensure the security and compliance of the cloud environment in accordance with industry standards (google secrets manager, ssh, identity aware proxy)
- Develop some data scraping scripts
- Develop some web api backend functions to support web applications
Required skills and qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of Linux system administration (linux command line, shell scripts, disk mounting and maintenance, swap disk config, process interrogation (ps), strace, tcpdump, cron jobs, nginx, package management (apt-get)
- Good knowledge of programming languages such as Python and C#
- Good knowledge of HTTP protocol, REST, web servers, web application servers, HTML, CSS, javascript
- Familiarity with Python Flask or equivalent Python web application framework
- Familiarity with ASP.NET Core web application framework
- Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools and version control tools (like Jenkins, Git).
- Familiarity with monitoring tools (DataDog/PagerDuty)
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
