Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer - Migration Specialist to support large-scale software migrations. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in software development (preferably Java, Python, or similar) on Unix platforms, along with working knowledge of Autosys (as a user, not an admin). This role requires strong expertise in CI/CD, automation, UAT, and troubleshooting deployments. Candidates will undergo a 1-month training program to become Migration SMEs before transitioning into project execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, coordinate, and execute software migrations and deployments.
- Configure and manage Autosys batch scheduling and optimize workflows.
- Set up environments, execute UAT, troubleshoot issues, and ensure smooth rollouts.
- Develop automation scripts and tools to streamline migration processes.
- Work with functional SMEs, QA teams, and infrastructure engineers to ensure successful transitions.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in software development and DevOps.
- Proficiency in Java, Python, Shell scripting, Perl, Unix/Linux.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab, SVN, etc.).
- Experience working with Autosys (creating and maintaining jobs, troubleshooting failures).
- Strong troubleshooting, testing, and change management skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Skills (Nice to Have):
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform.
- Exposure to database management systems (e.g., Sybase).
- Certification in Autosys or related technologies.
