Business Analyst (Senior & Mid Levels- Nairobi

Role Overview:
The Business Analyst bridges DRIVE stakeholders and our technical teams, ensuring the
Aggregator Evaluation & Management Tool (AEMT) meets business objectives. Senior BAs
drive strategic engagements and complex analyses; Mid BAs execute detailed documentation
and validation.
Key Responsibilities:
• Requirement Elicitation & Management: Lead workshops, interviews, and surveys
with CLIENT, aggregators, off-takers, and pastoralist representatives; document needs in
BRDs, use cases, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Process Modeling & Analysis: Map existing stakeholder processes (BPMN), conduct
SWOT/PEST analyses, identify gaps and optimization opportunities within the DRIVE
value chain.
• Backlog & Change Control: Maintain and prioritize the product backlog in JIRA;
evaluate and manage change requests to minimize scope creep.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Facilitate sprint planning, demos, and retrospective
sessions; manage expectations and resolve conflicts.
• Quality Assurance Support: Validate features during UAT, coordinate sign-off, and
ensure alignment with business requirements.
• Mentorship & Knowledge Transfer (Senior Only): Guide Mid BAs, drive best
practices, and deliver training materials for CLIENT users.
Qualifications & Experience:
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, IT, Computer Science, or
related.
• Certification: CBAP or CCBA preferred for Senior; IIBA certification a plus for Mid.
• Experience:
o Senior: 5+ years in business analysis, including at least one large-scale software
deployment in financial or agri-tech sectors.
o Mid: 3+ years in BA roles with demonstrable project deliverables.
• Tools & Methodologies: Proficient in JIRA, Confluence, MS Project; BPMN, UML;
SWOT/PEST analysis; wireframing tools (Figma).
• Soft Skills: Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, written and verbal communication.
Strong facilitation and stakeholder management.

KPIs:
• Requirements accuracy (percentage of features delivered with zero change requests).
• Timeliness of BRD and user story delivery.
