Back-End Engineer (API & Serverless Architecture)

As a Back-End Engineer (API & Serverless Architecture), you will be responsible for developing and maintaining server-side logic, ensuring high performance and responsiveness to requests from both web and mobile applications. You will work closely with front-end developers, system architects, and other stakeholders to deliver scalable and efficient software solutions.
What you’ll need to be successful:
- Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields.
- 2 to 5 years of experience in back-end development.
- Intermediate experience with JavaScript (ES6) and Node.js.
- Experience with AWS services such as Lambda, Cognito, API Gateway, CloudWatch, CloudFormation, and databases like RDS (PostgreSQL, DynamoDB).
- Strong understanding of serverless architecture and RESTful API design.
- Familiarity with the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Knowledge of agile development methodologies and tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot and debug complex issues.
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of Test-Driven Development (TDD) and related frameworks.
- Experience with Specification by Example.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices.
- Knowledge of agile estimations and story points.
- Certified Scrum Developer (CSD).
- ISTQB® Certified Tester – Foundation Level.
- AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner.
- AWS Certified Developer – Associate.
